Description
A stone obelisk. Three name panels.
Originally located in School Road, the position of the memorial meant that services were difficult to hold.
Moved to the Memorial garden in 2000, forming a group with various memorial benches.

Native of Isle of Wight. The death notice in the Isle of Wight County Press of 25 August 1917 states "BREWER - July 14, killed in action in France, Charles Brewer of Godshill,
eldest son of the late Mrs Brewer of Bournemouth, aged 25." Soldiers Died in the Great War gives his place of birth as Pokesdown, Hants. |

but does show he enlisted, and was resident, in Godshill. |
