Son of : Jacob Saunders and Mary Ann Saunders (née Morris) of Rookley.

Born : 1890, Pidford House, Rookley.

  Census information :

1891 : Jacob and Mary Ann Saunders, with their children including Reginald aged 6 months, are at Rookley Road. Jacob Saunders is a Dairy Farmer.

1901 : Jacob Saunders, widower, with his children including Reginald aged 10, is at Winstone Cottage, St Johns Road North, Wroxall. Jacob Saunders is a Dairyman.

1911 : Reginald Saunders, aged 20, is described as a Servant at the household of Oliver Hayles, at Pagham Cottages, Near Rookley. Reginald Saunders is a Carpenter.

Reginald emigrated to Australia at the age of 21 shortly after 1911, and settled at Mitchell's Island, Manning River, New South Wales. he is described as an agriculturist in the AWM papers.
