The War Memorial has been included in the list of structures of Local importance held by the Isle of Wight Council (June 2008).
 
Description and history

A Portland stone cross of remembrance on a three stage hexagonal base.

The Memorial was designed and erected by T and J Ellery of Ryde, at a cost of £150.

The land on which the Memorial is built was given by Mr John Willis Fleming, whose son, 2/Lt R T C Willis Fleming, was killed in the War.

The Memorial was unveiled by Mrs Willis Fleming and dedicated by the Rector of Binstead, on 18th September 1920.

The Memorial was cleaned and the lettering renewed in the Summer of 2008.
