Description

A white stone plaque naming additional casualties from post WW II conflicts. The plaque was installed in February 2011 specifically to honour the memory of Peter Grundy, but there is space for further names should there be a need. The plaque was paid for from the Isle of Wight Council Chairman's allowance. The Chairman, Cllr Ian Stephens, considered it appropriate to use these funds in this way. The work was carried out by Dave Crouch of Wight Stonemasonry Ltd.
