Robert Dunbar writes : "A S Rayner was Alfred Stanley Rayner, who served in the Australian Infantry. He was killed at Gallipoli on 27-08-1915.
Alfred was my Fathers' Mothers' brother. He came to Australia from the Isle of Wight, with his sister Florence Ellen Rayner, thought to be around 1912 / 1913.
(Have not been able to identify the ship they arrived on).
He is the brother of Arthur Edward Rayner who is also named on the Ryde Great War plaque."
