Cecil Edward Wilkins, son of George Wilkins and Jessie Sims Wilkins (née Hodgson), of East Molesley, Surrey.

Born : 3 October 1886, East Molesley, Surrey.

Married : 21 June 1913, Marjorie Lucy Barrett, at Holy Trinity Church, Cowes.

Census Information :

1891 : Lucy Barrett, with her children including John aged 7, and Marjorie aged 11 months, is at her mother's residence at 56, Eversfield Place, Hastings.

1901 : Alfred and Lucy Barrett, with two daughters (including Marjorie aged 10 and Miriam aged 6), and servants, are at Gosbury Hill, Surbiton, Surrey. Alfred Barrett is an Ironfounder.

1911 : Alfred and Lucy Barrett, with two daughters (including Marjorie aged 20), and servants, are at Old Charlton, Baring Road, Cowes.

1891 : George and Jessie Wilkins, with their children including Cecil aged 5, are at Beechcroft, Spencer Road, East Molesey. George Wilkins is a Stockjobber.

1901 : George and Jessie Wilkins, with their children including Cecil aged 15, are at Hersham Road, Walton On Thames. George Wilkins is a Stock and Share Dealer.

1911 : Cecil Edward Wilkins, aged 24, a Lieutenant in the Royal Navy, is listed as a Patient at 15 Welbeck St, London, an establishment run by a Miss Clara Nelson Smith.

Service Details :

Commander Cecil Edward Wilkins, Royal Navy, H.M.S. Lowestoft.

Sub-Lt. Cecil E. Wilkins is recorded as serving on H.M.S. Dee in 1908.

Casualty Details :

Died : 1 November 1918 aged 32, of illness.

Buried at : Bari War Cemetery, Italy.
