DEDICATED A MEMORIAL. - The Bishop of Southampton met the parishioners at the Vicarage on Thursday, when several church matters were discussed. Afterwards the Bishop dedicated an engraved brass tablet which had been placed in the Church to the memory of Capt. Edward Charles Layton, 11th South African Infantry, aged 49, who fell on September 3rd, 1916. He is the son of Mrs. Layton, of Wroxall. The special Diocesan Litany was sung.
