Son of : John Austin King and Mary Jane King (née Cassford) of Sandown.

Born : 1889 Sandown.

  Census information :

1891 : John and Mary King, with their family including George aged 1, are at 28, Fitzroy Street, Sandown. John King is a Painter, Paper Hanger & Picture Frame Maker

1901 : John and Mary King, with their family including George aged 11, are at 1, Kimberley Villas, Sandown. John King is a House Painter.

1911 : John and Mary King, with their family including George aged 21, are at 1, Kimberley Villas, St John's Road, Sandown. John King is a House Painter, George King is a Carpenter.

According to the Australian War Memorial circular, and information given by his aunt Mrs Phillips, George King attended Sandown National School, and Sandown Secondary School. He served with the Hampshire Territorials. It is not known when he moved to Australia.

Died : 25 April 1915 aged 26.
