Son of : Frank Coleman and Elizabeth Charlotte Coleman (née Barnes) of Ivy Cottage, Broad Lane, Brighstone.

Born : 1888 at Marsh Green, Brighstone.

  Census information :

1891 : Ann Coleman, a widow, is living with her son Frank and his family, including Thomas aged 2, at Marsh Green, Brighstone. Frank Coleman is an Agricultural Labourer.

1901 : Frank and Elizabeth Coleman, with their children including Thomas aged 12, are at Marsh Green, Brighstone. Frank Coleman is a Dairyman's Assistant.

1911 : Frank and Elizabeth Coleman, with their children including Thomas aged 22, are at Marsh Green, Brighstone. Frank Coleman is a Farm labourer, Thomas Coleman is a General labourer.

Thomas Coleman moved to Australia in 1913 at the age of 25, settling in Melbourne. His AWM papers give his trade at this time as dairyman.

He was killed in action at Walker's Ridge, Anzac Cove.
