The aircraft took off on 17th September at 21.28 hrs from RAF Witchford to bomb flak positions at Moerdijk in support of Operation Market Garden, but while over the target they collided with another Lancaster bomber (LM693 K-T from 115 Sqn), which crashed 10 miles away. All the crew in both aircraft were killed. Those from the 90 Sqn aircraft are all buried at Dordrecht.
