Friday, October 1, 1920 Page 1

Pathetic circumstances are associated with the death of Private E. Wheeler, of Wroxall, son of Mrs. J. Wheeler, of Upper Ventnor. He was with the Army in France and was on the point of being invalided out owing to heart trouble. He was due home on leave last Monday, but was taken suddenly worse, and late in the afternoon his relatives had a telegram to say that he had passed away. He is about 44 years of age and leaves a widow and a family of nine children. The funeral is at Wroxall on Saturday and will be of a military character.
