Son of Charle F Maidment and Edith I Maidment (née Douch).

Born 1949 - birth registered at Sturminster, Dorset.

Served with 17 Port and Maritime Regiment, R.L.S., from 1964 to 1999. Later, worked for South East Reserve Forces & Cadets Association as Range Officer & Estate Manager for Newtown Range & Jersey camp, Isle of Wight.
