Since the churchyard is included within the curtilage of the Church, then it is assumed that the War Memorial is included in this Listing. Description An Ionic cross of Cornish granite bearing the names of the Newchurch men who died in the Great War and World War II. Unveiled by Admiral Allenby and Maj Brodie in September 1920, and dedicated by the Bishop of Southampton. Cross erected by Mr F Moorman of Ventnor. A Book of remembrance held in the church gives biographical details of the men named. |
