This tablet was placed in the Town Hall by
the Chairman and Members of the Urban
District Council and fellow Townsmen
of Cowes in honour of those belonging to the
Town and neighbourhood who so nobly
volunteered for service in South Africa
during the Boer War 1900 - 01 - 02.
