Mr. and Mrs. F. Wheeler, of Wydcombe Lodge, Whitwell, have received the sad news that their only son, Lance-Corporal Jim Wheeler, 15th Battalion, Hants Regt., was killed in action on August 1st, 1917, with the British Expeditionary Force, France. The sympathy of the whole village goes out to them in their sad loss. Lance Corporal Wheeler was 21 years of age.
