Funeral of a Newport Territorial.

The funeral, with military honours, took place at Carisbrooke Cemetery, on Tuesday, of Rifleman Jennings, of the I.W. Rifles, who had been serving in that corps since the outbreak of war. He was previously clerk at J.S. White and Co., Ltd., at Cowes, and his career seemed full of promise. The Rev. B. Carvossa Spencer officiated, and some of the deceased's company acted as bearers, whilst the buglers, firing party, and others of the regiment were also present. The personal mourners included the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Baker, Mr. and Mrs. H.E. Hawkins, Miss Marjorie Hawkins, Mr. New (leader of the Wesleyan Bible Class, of which deceased was a member), and the general attendance included Messrs. G.H. Gentle, G. Bricknell, P. Pullinger, W. Riley, and others of the Wesleyan Bible Class.
