Son of Harmer Hardy [died 1888] and Helena Hester Hardy (née Cruywagen), of Sandown, Isle of Wight.

Born : 26 June 1887, London.
  Census Information :

1891 : Helen Hardy (sic), widow, with her children including Victor aged 3, are at West Hill, Leed Street, Sandown. Helen Hardy is 'Living on her own means'.

1901 : Victor Hardy, aged 13, is a Pupil at Farnborough Park School, Farnborough.

1911 : Victor Hardy, aged 23, is a 2nd Lieut. 1st Bn., York and Lancaster Regiment, in India.
