Mrs. A.M. Downer, of Downside Cottages, Upper Ventnor, has had returned to her a letter sent to her son, Driver R. Downer, 1/5 Hants R.F.A., with the intimation to the effect that he is dead. No news has been received of Driver Downer since he was captured by the Turks.
