SYMPATHY is felt for Mr. and Mrs. H. Simkins [sic], of Yarborough Road, on the sad news received last week that their son, Pte. John Simkins [sic], had died during September. He was 20 years of age and was in the Yorkshire Light Infantry. He had done five years' service, and has three brothers in the Forces [*].

[*] presumed to be his 3 older brothers, Harry Samuel (b. 1913), Harold George (b. 1919), and Ernest William (b. 1922).
