CHEETHAM. - In January, 1943, by enemy action, Eva Cheetham, of 4 Kent Road, Ventnor, the beloved sister of Mrs. Gertrude S. Turner, of Bolton, Lancashire, and Mr. F.C. Cheetham, of Weymouth. - Rest in peace.

OBITUARY. - We regret to record the death, through enemy action, of Miss Eva Cheetham, of 4 Kent Road. Miss Cheetham left this district six or seven weeks ago and was killed in a town in another part of the Island. She was 69 years of age and had lived in Ventnor for over 15 years. The funeral took place at Ventnor yesterday (Thursday), when the personal mourners were Mr. and Mrs. F.C. Cheetham, of Weymouth (brother and sister-in-law), and Mrs. Gertrude S. Turner, of Bolton, Lancashire (sister). Mr. James Wearing, Clerk of the Ventnor Council, represented the local authority of the district concerned. The Rev Fr. J. Wixted (C. C. St. Wilfrid's) officiated.
