Biographical information
RIFLEMAN JOSEPH HAYLES, son of Mr and Mrs F Hayles of Harts Ash at
Knighton served in the Isle of Wight Rifles and was killed in action
at the Battle of Gaza on or about 19th April 1917. Four of his
brothers and four brothers-in-law were all serving in the armed forces.
