The aircraft took off at 23.01 hrs from RAF Wyton, and crashed into the Ijseelmeer, off the Dutch coast. Four bodies were retrieved and buried in cemeteries in Friesland. Three crewmen are commemorated at Runnymede. P/O Sprack came from Brading, Isle of Wight.
