 The aircraft took off at 22.36 hrs from RAF Pocklington for Ops on Dortmund. It was shot down by a night fighter, flown by Lt Robert Denzil [+] of IV/NJG 1, and crashed at 00.36 hrs on the Vooreg, 7km South East of Dollkun, in Holland. Five crew members have no known graves. Air Gunners Buck and Rose are buried in Kollumerland (Westergeest) Protestant Churchyard. Pilot Officer Chiverton came from Arreton, Isle of Wight.
