Description

Shorwell Village Hall was erected to honour the men of the village who served and died in the Great War. A wooden plaque inside the Hall marks the restoration of peace. The Hall was constructed in the 1920's.

PARISHIONERS OF SHORWELL AND KINGSTON AS A
THANK-OFFERING TO ALMIGHTY GOD, FOR THE
RESTORATION OF PEACE, AND TO COMMEMORATE
THE TRIUMPH OF OUR ARMS IN THE GREAT WAR
1914 - 1919
