Formerly in Frank James Hospital, East Cowes, Isle of Wight IWM War Memorials Archive Record Link : War Memorials Archive Reference 21798 Description A memorial plaque attached to a bed table in memory of Mrs Alice Frances Hann Current location unknown. The hospital closed in 2004 and was due for redevelopment which has since been abandoned. Presumably the hospital furniture and fittings were disposed of. Presented by East Cowes WVS in Memory of Alice Frances Hann who lost her life through enemy action while on duty 5th May 1942 Alice Hann is commemorated also on the ARP War memorial at St James's Church. Alice Hann is buried at East Cowes (Kingston Road) Cemetery in the Communal grave. |
