Memorials and Monuments on the Isle of Wight : This site describes the majority of the War memorials,
and many of the other public and civic memorials to be found on the Isle of Wight.

July 2008 : completed adding information regarding the English Heritage Listing status of the War Memorials or the buildings in which they are situated.

July 2008 : completed adding references and links to the National Inventory of War Memorials records for the War Memorials

June 2008 : 18 Island War Memorials have been included in the Isle of Wight Council's Local Listing of structures of local importance. These are : Ashey, Bembridge, Binstead, Brighstone, Calbourne, Camp Hill Prison Officers, Cowes, Godshill, Haven Street (Willis-Fleming shrine), Lake, Newport, Niton, Porchfield, Sandown, Shanklin, Shanklin (Townswomen's Guild Memorial Bench), Totland and Ventnor.
